Khawaja Asif demands shooting of sewer cover thieves
Federal Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has demanded shooting of sewer cover thieves in public.
The Defense Minister expressed his anger over the video of a manhole cover thief on the social networking site X and demanded that such people be brought to the scene of the crime and shot.
On his X, he said, “If there is a video record of these people, then bring them to the scene of the crime and shoot them because they are the killers of innocent children.”
The Defense Minister wrote that if no action is taken even after this video, then the system is also facilitating the murder of these children.
It should be noted that a few days ago, a three-year-old child Ibrahim fell into an open manhole near the Nipa Chowrangi area of Karachi and went missing, whose body was found after 15 hours by a garbage collector.
The Mayor of Karachi apologized for this incident, while to make an example of the case, 8 officers from relevant departments, including the SSP East, the Deputy Commissioner, KMC, and Water Board, were transferred.
