Any attack on Supreme Leader would be considered a declaration of war, Iranian President
Iranian President Masoud Peshkeshian has warned that any attack on Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei would be considered a ‘full declaration of war’ against the Iranian nation.
According to Iranian media reports, President Masoud Peshkeshian said in a statement on the social networking website X that the inhuman sanctions and long-standing hostility imposed by the US and its allies are one of the major reasons for the economic difficulties facing the Iranian people.
He said that any attack on our country’s Supreme Leader would be considered a full declaration of war against the entire Iranian nation.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei had said in a statement yesterday that Iran considers US President Donald Trump to be the main responsible for the deaths and destruction caused by people affiliated with foreign elements during the recent unrest and had called Donald Trump a criminal.
On the other hand, US President Donald Trump had called for the end of Ayatollah Khamenei's leadership in a statement and said in an interview that now is the time to find a new leadership in Iran.
It should be noted that the peaceful protests that began in Iran late last month by businessmen turned violent after a week, while Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were inciting Iranian protesters.
Iran had accused the US and Israel of supporting the protesters and said that rioters, with the help of foreign intelligence agencies, created chaos in Iranian cities, killed security forces and civilians, and also targeted public facilities.
